Harun al-Rasid and Gisela's story.

Harun al-Rasid and Gisela

Harun al-Rasid was a muslim caliph, and Gisela was a Carolingian princess. Harun lived in Córdoba, he was the caliph of the Caliphate of Córdoba. One day, his advisers told him that he must travel to the Carolingian empire to establish peace. Harun accepted and headed for Carolongian empire.

Now, in the Carolingian empire, we have the princess Gisela, she was the daughter of the king of the empire, she was a sad princess, she was sixteen years old and she didn't find a boyfriend, she thought -as was normal at the time- that she was born to marry a man and make him the king of the empire.

The days, the weeks, the months passed... until it finally arrived Harun to met Gisela's father.

Carls, Gisela's father, received Harun and they had a meeting, when the meeting finished Harun saw Gisela, and Gisela saw Harun, the two fell in love.

Harun decided to stay a few days with the excuse of having more meetings, but in reality it was to be close to Gisela. Gisela began to be in the meetings with the excuse helping her father.

As the weeks went be, they were both more and more in love, until one day, Harun dared to declare himself. Gisela accepted and they became a couple.

Two months later, they got married, which benefited both empires. They secured peace until the end of both empires.
